The male reproductive system refers to a number of internal and external sex organs, which are responsible for sexual function in males and in the process of human reproduction. The male reproductive system is responsible for the formation, storage and ejaculation of sperm and seminal fluid. The male sex organs also produce the male sex hormones vital for male development (sexual maturity) and fertility.
A number of the male reproductive organs are located outside the abdominal cavity or pelvis.
The external organs include the penis, testes (testicles), scrotum and epididymis.
